Athasian Moon Calendar

 

This is a calendar for all major phases of the two moons of Athas over an eleven year period.  It follows the convention used in the Merchant Calendar program. Found here: http://www.athas.org/articles/the-merchant-s-calendar

It uses a 33 day synodic cycle for Ral and 125 day synodic cycle for Guthay.

You will find that this calendar follows the cycles presented in the Merchant Calendar.

There is a different calendar for each year of the Endlean cycle and then it repeats every 11 years.  (The Seofean cycle does not impact the moon phases or any of these dates.)

If you are playing in the Year that Kalak was killed, that was in FY 1 or year of Priest Defiance, so start with using the Priest calendar. This calendar should allow you to more easily see when moon phases will be happening without having to scroll through all the days in the computer program.

For Ral and Guthay I have included full moons, new moons, quarter moons, three quarter moons, as well as when they are in conjunction or opposition with each other.  For the Sun I have included highest sun, lowest sun, and the equinoxes.

At the bottom of each day I have included the day number of the year to make calculations to the next event easier.
